Long live the people of India

Quitting is not easy. However, good thing is that you are not alone. We bring to life a movement that can free our nation from the shackles of tobacco.

It is predicted that by 2011, there will be more than 1 million Indians dying due to tobacco use. Statistics also reveal that India is the second largest consumer of tobacco in the world.*
Quit India Movement aims to get the strength from numbers – let’s together trash the ash.

To start with, let’s take a pledge. You don’t need to be a smoker to take this pledge. Just feel free to pledge as we grow from strength to strength. And from number to number.

The seeds of the QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT are laid with heavy confidence. We drive this confidence from the fact that India is a nation of strong willed people. To repeat it, it is not easy – but together we can will tobacco away from our lives. There are a number of cessation techniques available to help the process, among them nicotine replacement therapy.

The instant you take your pledge, whether the world continues its ignorant slumber, India will light one more fire of freedom. For a moment comes, but rarely in history, when you can quit or help another quit. Chalo, India!
