We all know that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed in August 1945 when the United States dropped the atom bombs.
However little we know about the progress the people of that land made during the past 64 years!
Here are some photos. (CLICK on the photos to see them in original size)

Sir/madam
very good article about our country.
Thank you.

Very long ago I read in the Reader's Digest that when the atomic bomb exploded, a watchman sitting on a stool in front of some office simply evaporated and his shadow was perpetually left in the sidewalk.
Now bombs of more than 10000 times the strength of the ones used in Hiroshima Nagasaki are in abundance. We do not know when and why some fool is going to press the button starting on the final war of this earth.
The net is also said to contain information about how you can assemble a nuclear device at home. How senseless can we get?
It is no doubt heartening to read that Hiroshima and Nagasaki have progressed well. But are we aware that hundreds are still in hospital fighting radiation damage? Some pictures are heart rending and not fit for viewing by emotionally weak persons. Such is the devastation caused by wreckless use of military might.
While on the subject of wars and destruction caused by mindless use of weaponry, there is a famous museum in Germany documenting the misery of war per se. Somewhere abroad there is also a sign praying to God not to give their people the wherewithals to wage another war of such (or more) magnitude.
People of Hiroshima and Nagasaki - and in effect, the Japanese are standing examples of DETERMINATION to achieve the impossible starting from the rubbles of war. We are fortunate not to have experienced the ravages of war but will we ever learn to put all we can into making our country a mighty one?
